Last Saturday I posted an article from NKF on Chronic Kidney Disease. It was lengthy and led to many continuing pages that provided additional articles for your information. Many of us have additional health issues as well as CKD that impact our lives and the decisions we make. This article is an interesting read and quite possibly someone will find it informative and pertinent to them. For those of you interested in Dialysis or even approaching that decision there is a community on HU for you sponsored by the NKF called Kidney Dialysis. My decision to put this out here is solely for the purpose of informing anyone who needs information on the subject.

Thank you so very much for posting this. I foolishly assumed that if I don't go on dialysis, along with some kind of meds, I could live for at least maybe 5 years. But that is not true. Still, thank you for this needed information.
Mr. Kidney,
I think this is particularly timely in view of Mrs. Bush's decision to not continue treatment because of her various health problems. Quality of life is an important matter.
