ATN Recovery?

Hi everyone,

My kidney biopsy showed the cause of my decreasing kidney function to be from acute tubular necrosis (ATN), likely due to my Ulcerative Colitis medications. Since I’ve stopped/switched med’s I’ve seen my GFR go from 19 to 27. Does anyone have experience with ATN? And if so, have you seen recovery of your kidney function? Thanks so much.

ATN can lead to acute kidney injury (AKI), generally as you get treated for ATN your kidney function should slowly start to increase. I would recommend that you speak to the physician in regards to your concerns. For more information on AKI visit: kidney.org/atoz/content/Acu...
