Hi and welcome, Liver3 :)

Looking at your profile, it sounds as if you're dealing with a lot and I wonder if watching a series of 7 videos called 'The skinny on obesity' may help. I've tried to link it for you, but can't get the link to work.

Follow this link to our chat thread and a list of all the activities we run. We've found active participation to be key to success, especially with our weigh-ins and Daily Diary.

Hi, Liver3 , welcome.

Weight loss is not all about motivation and masochism - if you "slim smart" it is not so hard!

Eating plenty of fat reduces your hunger for chocolate.

Fruit is high in sugar and best avoided.

Many of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:

Evening, I think what’s important is thinking about what triggers you off to eat the bad stuff. Theres nothing wrong with having bad stuff every now and then but it’s give and take know if you have that cookie when you go for like an evening walk you may have to do an extra mile or two. Having a plan for the week is good, plan the days you will work out what kinda of work outs you will do and what kind of meals you will have this week and the calories in those. It’s important not to beat yourself up it’s about coming back better following week.

Stop beating yourself up!! What's done is done. Make a pledge today not to put another pound on. You can do this, you have done it before. Climb off the roller coaster, leave it behind. Get on the dodgems, they are flatter, there are bumps along the way but still fun to do. Your life may be chaotic at the moment but the one thing you have control of is what you eat, how much you eat and when you eat it. Don't forget some nice treats along the way to reward your efforts, and I don't mean candy floss!! Stop dieting and work towards the healthy lifestyle you crave for.
