Good evening everyone, I hope you's have had a great day. The winter is upon us and I seem to have a few holes in my invisible Geordie cloak because boy am I feeling the cold. Normally I'd be in my top and just fold my arms to keep warm, but now....bbbrrrrrrrr

So I was needing something a little warmer for my lunch and came across some edamame asparagus and mint burgers today, not too bad at all. Toasted a wholemeal thin, lightly spread some hummus on, layered spinach and some roasted peppers and had myself a healthy burger. yyyuuummmyyyy 305kcals very filling.Could really taste the mint and asparagus, they also have a beetroot one I haven't tried yet, maybe that's tomorrows lunch

Err... ok... they sound great... where can I find them???

Surely it’s only advertising if:

a) you’re being paid to recommend a product

Or

b) you own the company making/selling the product.

I love edamame and now have to hunt down something already recommended... that sucks.

If you Google edamame asparagus and mint burgers, you'll find them

It’s ok... looked at the picture closely. Just don’t think that’s advertising... mentioning SW or WW happens a lot in these parts. Or a certain app that can track calories and exercise... by a certain sportswear company that may rival the one with the swoosh and use British spelling even though American.

Oh, and please don’t advertise google in my direction... they abuse data and don’t pay taxes. independent.co.uk/news/busi...

Hehehe - just looking at them they look good for you!! :D

Yeah, graphic designers are very good at what they do ;)

I'm sure there's nothing wrong with them as such. They look nice. The ingredients list is clean. I'm just a curmudgeonly old skinflint, so I object to paying 1.50 for something that was manufactured for fifty pee (of which 10p is packaging).

Here's one with black beans, which are quite hard to find in the UK, but worth looking for. You could probably substitute kidney beans - they have a similar flavour.

I know it's a pain to make these things by yourself, but if you do a batch of 20 and freeze them, it's worthwhile.

Oh, personally i'd make veggie burgers myself as i am also a skinflint!! Usually use a falafel recipe i found that can easily be used for either falafel or burgers. These did look good for convenience though - certainly better than supermarket beef burger i would have thought!!! :)
