Muscle, DNA and Metabolic rate has a lot to do with weight loss.

I do feel that people who think they are slightly overweight by weighing themselves on the scales feel that they are not doing much i.e. exercises or eating healthy but are doing a lot, they have to realise that muscle and DNA and metabolic rate has a lot to do with our body structure and losing weight, so please do not feel that you are not doing enough because you are and do not make the scales get you down, as long as your active and toning with weights and eating well that you that matters.

No problem, I do not want people being fooled by all these diets some work and some do not, there is so much more to just telling people to go on diets and exercising all human bodies are made up with DNA and weight muscle which no one seems to inform people and people get so anxious to why they are not working.

I feel people should have more of a educational insight on how the human body works with relation to our DNA and metabolic rate, rather then them feeling despondent to why certain diets are not working well.

Great that you have joined us kittikatlinglong most people on here talk about lifestyle changes and a huge number of our members do lots of research into various aspects of health and wellbeing. I certainly do.

It will be interesting to hear your opinions, that is the beauty of a forum such as this, everyone can comment and everyone can choose the elements they want to concentrate on at any given moment and we can all benefit from each other. The journey may mean that these things are different at different times.

Good luck with your journey.

I also think that food is a science 🔬 & we are individuals ... it's fascinating when you factor in the way we digest & store foods ...

I can get a bit OTT about it all & then go eat crisps/choc & drink alcohol 🍺 & destroy my good intentions!!

Do not beat yourself up, yes we are individuals just like all r fingers are all different sizes on our hands we are all made with our own DNA

Do not read to much into the science but to focus on what you have and making your temple greater, you have to be mentally ready otherwise you will be going around in a vicious circle, its all about eating whatever you want in small portions, every four hours with fruit, dried fruit, nuts, yogurts, etc, so experiment with Mediterranean cuisine which is so tasty and so healthy and a fitness program for your physic, do it in the comfort of yr own home, and when yr confident enough you can go to fun zumba classes just to make the whole experience fun, do not take it serious, just treat it like one of yr hobbies.

I just would like people to know that as a baby I did weigh slightly more then my sister, and could never understand why my sister was always a smaller frame then me and as I got older I got to understand about genes, metabolism and how for some it works faster then others and how to work on it, so I can stop beating myself up and hating myself because of others non acceptance because I was chubbier but as I grew up I saw my father how he had naturally strong muscles and my mother with a hourglass figure, with all that combined I took all of that and worked hard on my fitness and eating healthy was not a problem as it was all Mediterranean foods, so I do believe that eating fatty food constantly and no exercise will gravitate not only on the body but also mentally it will take a toll on all aspects of that persons life,

Aiming to be skinny is not the answer to a healthy lifestyle in the long run, skinny is not for all of us and those that are either not eating well or its part of their genes, another persons self image can destroy others, just like weighing scales muscles weighs more then fat.

It is nice to feel lighter, to be able to enjoy life without struggling with aches and pains to focus mentally, and to be able to have longevity.
