Silence is Golden

Silence is Golden

Silence is golden

But my eyes still see

Silence is golden, golden

But my eyes still see

Talking is cheap people follow like sheep

Even though there is no where to go

How could she tell he deceived her so well

Pity she'll be the last one to know

Silence is golden

But my eyes still see

Silence is golden, golden

But my eyes still see

Well I am still here and still sticking to the eating regime. Well sort of. Last weekend I went over to North Yorkshire to visit family. It was my mother-in-law’s birthday and I spent the Saturday with my parents at Whitby having a fish and chip lunch and the Sunday out for a birthday meal. We will remain silent about those two meals, hence the choice of my song for this week.

I could not get weighed neither, wrong scales, wrong location and inappropriate to walk around in my usual outfit for weigh-in. I do not get on that well with the in-laws!

Any way this week I got weighed in and I had neither gained nor lost. In reality I probably gained last week and then lost it again this week, hence I will stick with the song, “Silence is Golden”.

I do hope you lot are doing well.

Whitby fish and chips - mmm - best in the world! Your usual weigh-in outfit made me laugh! That song brings back memories of my dad, bless him, sadly long gone now, who used to warble that song falsetto, just to annoy my sister who was in love with the Tremeloes! Ah...those were the days!

Omg, never liked the song myself but I can still picture Mary Hopkin on Top of the Pops in a long, laura ashley style maxi dress . I actually wore one similar to a wedding ...with clogs... and I ironed my long hair to make it straight. Those were indeed the days!!!

I love the anticipation of your music related posts Johnny-One

You really can't go to Whitby and not have fish and chips. Well done for pulling it back this week.

I am looking forward to the next signing installment.
