It doesn't harm, as long as you aren't going nuts with the water. I've seen people recommending upwards of a gallon of water a day, and that much is dangerous! Aim for around 2L as a starting point.

Also i've heard not to drink a glass of water immediately after food. Water dilutes stomach acids, and you need them most when you've had at eaten!

Ok 2l sounds like a good starting point I've just got a little milk bottle to start its only 2 pints but ill try the 2l that's just what I need is a starting point and ok not after food ill remember that one thank you for your advice and time :)

have a look for a 1ltr bottle with timings on the side like on the website above, then you will have something to measure your intake by :) good luck!

have a look at this for more info on what you maybe buying from the supermarket, explains the traffic light system they have on most foods, if you know/measure out a serving of the food/drink then you can work out the calories. Its all pretty new to me, on week 2 of the 12 week challenge, have lost a stone over the past month, keep researching what works for you :)

Hi, have you tried drinking boiled water? I drink it on a morning, also I now drink decaffeinated tea as well as cold water, variety may work and not as boring as continuous glasses of cold water.

Hot water with a bit of lemon is good too - helps reduce water retention.

Any place that works for you is a great place to start. Drinking more water will also fill you up and make you feel full more quickly, Try to drink a glass of water before giving in to snacks and before your meals. Good luck and welcome!
