I have type 1 diabetes and no thyroid, so under active. Having these issues means losing weight is hard, I can't seem to find the right diet to cope with both health problems.
I have tried low carb, my sugar went crazy, slimming world and weight watchers have not worked either.
Anyone have any suggestions please??! Thanks

Hiya. I've just started eating low glycemic and it's really good. I also tried low carb but didn't feel good on it. I also have a chronic illness and I think my body can't handle cutting out food groups or restricting too much. Low GI cuts out the refined carbs like white rice and bread, in favour of slower releasing carbs like basmati rice, stoneground or sourdough bread, oatcakes etc. Some people just eat low GI as their only 'diet rule' but I am also trying to be aware of calories too, without actually counting them.
