Hi Iamwatiam,

Welcome to the forum. I hope you'll enjoy being part of this community. There's a really useful Welcome Newbie post, which Moreless (a really lovely member of the community) has put together - it showcases many of the things that people have enjoyed within the forum, and hopefully you can find some good tips within it:

If you and your hubby would like to join in the Monday group weigh-in sessions, you'd be very welcome. Just take a look at the 'Events' section and click on that post to see the latest weigh-in group thread - if you want to take a look to see how Monday's sessions went.

Wishing you a great week ahead, and good luck with your weight loss goals.

Lowcal :-)

Good luck to you both and what a great thing to do for your 25th. I trust you'll have a party and therefore want to slim down a bit for that special outfit :)

You can achieve a massive amount in 1 year so go for it and you could both look and feel fab for your 25th :D

Hi and welcome IAMWATIAM :-)

you can both make such great changes in your lives and if both of you are doing this together then it will make things so much easier. I didn't start my journey with my husband I began on my own and around 5 months into it he jumped on board and we are both so much happier now and have lost a considerable amount of weight togethr. Remember to plan every day in advance. Cook or prepare your meals in advance if you can and most importantly believe in yourself and know that anything is possible and you can make a change. Best wishes for your 25th and good luck on your journey together :-)

My husband was helping me before He got sick by having two diet days a week. He doesn't need to lose any really but was being supportive.

It really helps to have someone dieting with you. On my own now and much harder.

What a brilliant idea. What a lovely present to give to each other. Hope you enjoy healthy eating as much as I have. It will give you a new lease of life. Good luck with the first weigh in and your first week.
