week 1 summary

Hi, thank you to those who replied to my first post last week; they were really encouraging and much appreciated :) I'm pleased to report that I have lost 1lb this week, which is a lovely feeling. And I've eaten loads! I signed up to myfitnesspal and recording what I've eaten has been a bit of an eye opener! I have eaten less in the evenings, but I think that's partly down to the fact that I've spent the time instead recording my food intake. I've just started doing an on-line course on Mindfulness too. The teachers on there mentioned that there is a connection between eating healthily and being mindful. I have sometimes looked in my rubbish bin at the end of the day and been shocked that there were so many empty crisp/chocolate/sweet wrappers....all because I have spent evenings munching away without really thinking about what I was doing. Its a sobering realisation! I hope this is one habit that will change permanently. Thanks for reading x

  • Hi Dee, well done on your first week...mindfulness course, that sounds really interesting. I have noticed that I can munch for hours if I'm distracted by the telly. It is interesting how much more healthy foods can be eaten compared to the crisps and chocs...have a good week this week!

  • well done. keep it up x

  • Agree with you I spent many evenings munching away mindlessly too. Into my third week and trying hard. Good luck!
