New and 100 pound to go

Hi,my name is Mandy and I have a lot to lose and have to decided to go for a nice round 100lb.I have tried different ways and always lost incentive but this time I have many reasons to stick to healthy eating,but I know 1400 cals is going to be tough to start with as I am used to 3times that amount so I may be a bit (a lot)grumpy.I have gone for a Saturday weigh in to try to stop me pigging out at weekends and have just weighed in at 237.75lb I wanted to be open about my weight cos I am not going to hide it and hope it will go on its own any more ,I know its up to me.I look forward to reading other peoples stories and getting inspiration from you all on the same journey.X x x

  • Hi Mandy, welcome :-)

    I weigh in every Sat morning to check on my progress at the end of a long week of working.

    As long as you get your food groups and eating patterns correct and begin exercising you will start to see results. I lost 7 lbs in my first week which spurred me on to where I am now losing 24 lbs in week 7.

    This forum is full of supportive people who will cheer you on in your journey so take full advantage of it and good luck x
