Another question this time about how many Calories.

Used the NHS BMI calculator and it said I should be eating between 1410Kcal and 1813Kcals a day.

Is this telling me if I eat 1813Kcals everyday I will lose weight?

Even 1410Kcal seems high for me as my fitness pal tells me to only eat 1200Kcals, therefore I now feel like I am overeating at 1400kcals.

Thoughts anyone.

I am successfully losing weight on 1400 calories a day. It isn't going to produce miracle results like half a stone a week (as promised by some diets) but my weight loss is averaging out at just over a pound a week and I'm really happy with that. The 1400 cals a day is also laying a good foundation for permanent changes to my eating that I can live with quite happily! I'd lose more weight on 1400 cals if I could exercise more vigorously but arthritic hips and knees make that impossible.

Yes - it is suggesting that you would lose weight, over the long term, if you had 1831 Kcals a day. Consuming close to the 1410 Kcals should enable a 1-2 lb/week loss.

I don't use My Fitness Pal but it may be that the 1200 Kcals is if you were lying in bed, doing nothing all day. I'll be corrected if this is wrong, but if you take any exercise (including housework, walking round the shops, etc) you would build up a calorie bank to draw on to increase your consumption. (Hope that makes sense!)
