I recently had an appointment with a spinal consultant and he did some tests. In his letter he mentions the results but I am a bit in the dark. Can anyone help? I had a look on Google but the info was not clear. Thank you...

He suggested b12 infusions

Romberg test is negative

upper limbs - Hoffman sign, inverted supinator jerk postive bilaterally

finger flexion test negative

lower limbs -

I recently saw a spinal surgeon whilst considering a fusion. He thought my neuropathy was caused by the lack of B12 metabolism in the Terminal Ileum. 50 years ago I had Ileo-caecal TB resulting in a hemi-colectomy.

Sadly the damage was done by the time I discovered B12 and its role in the body. I have injected weekly for around 10 years. After meeting the enlightened spinal surgeon I have increased to 3 times a week - hoping for more improvements...

Can explain more if needed.... 🌻

Thank you. I'm so sorry to hear you have had such an experience. I hope the more frequent injections will help!
