I would not increase to that level if I were you. I am prescribed 30mg but only take 20mg and use the other 10mg for when I am really bad.

I would like to tell you of something I have been taking for about 5 months now and I can not believe how much pain relief I am getting from nerve pain from it! I stopped taking it when I ran out after my first 3 month’s supply because I couldn’t afford it but my nerve pain came back and I just had to buy it again no matter how I had to get the money! Even if I forget to take it in the morning, by the evening I know I have forgotten it.

I think it was somebody on a neuropathy support page on FB that recommended it and I thought I would give it a go.

It’s two supplements used together and they are,

100% Natural Lipoic Acid 600mg

Liposamol Ubiquinol CoQ10 1000mg

I take 1 of the CoQ10 and 2 of the Lipoic Acid

Have a read up on them and see what you think, they have worked fantastic for me and now I can’t be without them.

Also I hate to say this this because I have to do this because of an allergy and it’s so annoying and I miss certain foods a lot, but cutting wheat and gluten out of your diet will actually, not only make you feel like a new person but help with nerve pain and inflammation too, along with fatigue.

Have a read up on those two supplements and see what you think before upping your amitriptyline.

Amitriptyline (plus supplements and dietary changes) work well for me, but everyone's different. You might need to try several pain relief options until you find something that works for you.

I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet and legs . Very painful burning sensation. How long have you been having acupuncture? I tried having a session once a week for 3 weeks. Very pleased to hear that it did you some good. Sadly it didn’t help me. I guess our conditions may be different or I needed to persevere with acupuncture for a bit longer.
