Hi I have been diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy plus I have RA orRD and I have posted on here before.I’m struggling with both conditions now.
I’m only on methotrexate plus the occasional pain pills. The peripheral is bad enough but the hand tremors now are exhausting and I don’t feel well most of the time. I have seen a neurologist but nothing was suggested for the problem however due to the pandemic haven’t had face appointment and I’m now worried something else is going on.
Unfortunately having a foot in both camps RA and PN.
Do any body recognise these symptoms and what drugs or help have received.
Sorry for long post.

I have not found answers to questions. It is a struggle to stay positive as my body is changing like yours. Holding a coffee cup is a challenge plus all the other things l used to do so easily. I refer to my neurologist as Dr Diagnose & nothing more. He said use a cane (l was using a cane when l went to see him). If l sound frustrated... well... l am.My cousin & l discussed our hand issues recently. She said our Grandmother & her mother also had the same problem.
I am not on any neuropathy medication but l do take a sleeping pill twice a week. I know l should exercise more but l rarely do any. Balance issues hinder most exercise. A friend teaches chair yoga but l haven't gone yet.
I am staring to rambling on... so l end by saying You Are Not Alone!
H hello thank you for reply. I don’t think I’d feel so down if I could talk to perhaps a professional person who understands this condition. My GP neurologist and rheumatologist seem to clam up whenever Imention the word peripheral Neuropathy that’s if I can see any of them in the first place. Balance is dreadful but the shaking is abysmal .
Please don’t think you are rambling on it was nice for you to reply and very kind of you thank you .
I have lymphadema and neuropathy in both hands and they think carpal tunnel in my left hand also. Going for a nerve conduction test to see what's up and what can be done. Very difficult to do everyday tasks. Can't sew anymore, have trouble pulling up pants and problems doing dishes etc. So aggravating. Can't clean like I used to. Called Cleaning for a Reason. They have volunteer cleaners who will give you 2 free hours of cleaning . They cleaned my bathroom, cleaned my fan in the living room and vacuumed my living room.It was wonderful! So embarrassed I can't do these things. She even changed out my shower curtain and liner with new ones I had bought but couldn't put up! So thankful!
Hello I completely understand how you must feel. I’m very fortunate to have hubby help me without him I’m not quite sure what would happen.
My condition is quite severe I also have rheumatoid arthritis thrown into the mix. I do try to stay positive but as you say not being able to do the things that you used to do can make you feel down.
Thank you for your kind reply and I really wish everything goes okay with The nerve conduction test.
