Just wondering if a tens machine has helped anyone for neuropathy as a alternative treatment. It seems to help me, but it would be good to get some feed back from people who use it as a treatment for there issues.

Tens 10 machine for neuropathy
Hello what I do use occasionally is revite for my feet and leg muscles but I can’t say whether it helps may be I don’t use it enough. I have very severe PNI’m always looking for answers for this condition. Ido hope you find something that will help ease this awful condition.
Thanks Orange33. I ment those machines with pads that you stick onto the skin which gives little electric shocks to stimulate the nerves. That revite thing that you mentioned which I also tried was useless so it's been in the bin after day one of use. All the best.
My son recently gave me one & l do believe it is helping me. The first time l used it l could not feel it at all... unfortunately l kept increasing it and bruised my leg. Now l put it on half power and no more bruises. Plus l can feel it a little bit. How often do you use yours?
Hi Mott's - I use it for 30 minutes every 2nd day. It does help as anything I believe that stimulates the nerves is helpful. In my case it's the bottom of my feet, so I also rest my feet on a ice pack at the end of the day while watching TV, then I rub vicks rub onto my feet before bed. Try these few things.
Thank you for the suggestions. I will give them a try. I didn't think about ice. I have been using it for 15 minutes on my leg & 15 on my foot (about every third day). It is nice to get some feedback about neuropathy... l had almost given up searching for information and feeling hopeless is not my style.
I use one on my feet and it helps a bit,I leave it on all night when my neuropathy is really bad.
Increasing the power of the tens is not necessarily better for small fibre neuropathyI am trying to keep strength low as I had worse spasms in muscles on too much power
Too much stimulation of muscles seems to irritate my sensory nerves leading to more pain
I am using lower power for 90 minutes daily
Have been doing this for 4 days so waiting to see if this really helps
Neuropathy is such a difficult disease to treat so we have to experiment carefully, it's not the same for everyone
I live in the USA but i have heard that the tens machine does help.I have not tried it but I use a massaging heating pad & alternate the legs.
Right now I am in bad pain & am helpless bc I am not responding to meds.
The pain dr wants me ot get a spinal cord stimulator. Don't know if you have heard of it but it has a lot of side effects if something goes wrong so I don't want to do that either.
If I hear of anything good I will keep you posted.
Best of luck on your Neuropathy.
God bless.
