Hello
Has anyone had any success in using magnesium to address (idiopathic) neuropathy (numb feet, toes, with burning)? If so, what type etc. I am trying to avoid going down yet another blind alley! Thanks for any input.

Magnesium appears to help some people. As I used to suffer with neuropathy I mentioned to my doctor I had bought some online and asked his opinion on magnesium. He said the action of the massaging of my legs was probably more helpful rather than the magnesium itself. I did try it when it arrived but found it wasn't successful for me. In fact I found through research that the anti depressants, Citalopram probably contributed to to the neuropathy. I came off the tablets slowly and now I dont experience those dreadful pains and burning feet any longer.
Thanks for your interesting reply. I am not on any antidepressant medication so that cannot be the cause of my neuropathy. I have raised B6 levels but as I have never supplemented B6 that’s a mystery too. I am currently cutting out Soya and bananas as they have been part of my diet to see if it makes a difference but B6 seems to be in many foods anyway. Again thanks for your input and good luck with your own health.
Yes magnesium helps. B12 is the key supplement though.
