The Doctor took me off BuTec patches today,I have been on them for 8 weeks but they are giving me breathing problems and they no longer work,I was wondering if anyone new when it would be appropriate to go back on Co-codamol.

HI,JUST A FEW LINES TO ASK WHAT STRENGTH OF BUTEC PATCH WERE YOU ON. I HAVE BEEN ON A BUTEC PATCH STRENGTH 10. AND WAS ALSO TAKEING CO- CODAMOL STRENGTH 500 WHEN EVER NEEDED FOR YEARS ( RECOMENDED BY MY CONSULTANT) WITH NO PROBLEM. THEN OUT OF THE BLUE MY GP PHONES AND SAYS HE IS TAKEING ME OF MY CO - CODAMOL AND PUTING ME ON PARACETAMOL 500 WHICH ARE USELESS FOR MY TYPE OF PAIN. I HAVE BEEN DIAGONISED WITH SENSORY AXONAL NEUROPATHEY FOR YEARS AND SOMETIMES THE PAIN IS COMPLETELY CRIPPLING OVER MY WHOLE BODY,
