Where to start? I am 86 years old. About 25 yeas ago I would tell my husband I felt like I was wearing socks. After assuming my problem stemmed from arthritic condition.and diagnosed with spinal stenosis. Plus knee replacemenmt surgery gone bad and have a rod in my leg rather than a knee. etc. etc. Finally a Specialist informed me I had pheriphial nueropathy. I have been around the merry go round, Pain Clinic for 2 years using hydrocodone, 10 mg 4 x a day. They had me listed as an addict. A total rip off, only dispensing pills every two months. I am not sure how gabepebtin was suggested. I have been using it with great sucess for about 5 months. No more mind altering drugs! What a relief. Gabepentin is strange stuff. It works wonderfully well. I take 1200 mg a day. I must say it has a few strange side effects, balance, and my hair is falling out. I told my Internest I would quit if my head fell off but not otherwise. When I signed up for these threads they suggested the Restless Leg Syndrome. So much suffering, I was delighted to find this site. One thing I know about "The weed" smoked a good bit in my 30's. One will always build up a tolerance and need more. I am not interested in spending my remaining years baked. Cheers, Rosalinda 1932

Hi Rosalinda, I don't know for sure that the hemp oil helped me, but I would suggest to you that you look into cannabis a bit more deeply. My research indicates that the cannabis plant contains something like 40 special components (called cannabinoids), most of which occur naturally in the human body: only one of these, THC, gives you the high you call "baking". Hemp is related to cannabis and contains cannabinoids, but doesn't have the THC, so you don't get the high. Geoff
