Twins came early at 30 weeks 6 days

After my waters breaking at 30 weeks 3 days, I was hoping the little ones would stay in a bit longer to get a bit bigger (but also then worried about infection getting in, so also worried about staying pregnant!). They said if all stays fine they would discharge me in 5 days and just hope all goes okay, with appointments twice a week for monitoring. I was all gearing up for going home!

However, only 3 days later the twins' heart rates were high (luckily I was still in hospital for monitoring) and my contractions started. They decided to do an emergency c section to get the twins out and so that they didn't have to endure going through labour. I am so happy they have arrived safely, and that they had a team of people ready to attend to their medical needs, but wish it wasn't so early. For their sakes! They are now in the Special Care Baby Unit and we are adapting to parenting in hospital.

Can't believe they are here. We are so blessed! Absolutely perfect little babies.

Thanks Corchi. It is already harder than I was expecting. I know, I know, everyone did say it would be hard! It's constant!!! (Wouldn't have it any other way. Except perhaps with more sleep...)

Congrats it's quite an achievement...I think what matters more is their health and comfortability after all dear the most high chooses when to bring life to this earth, may your journey through parenthood be filled with lots of love and laughter as you meet your young ones.

I spent a month in special care with my twins so I know how tough it is. The environment there is so intense but the nurses are amazing xxx
