High temp, restless 1 year old

Hi need some advice. My one year old has not been himself since Monday. He has been very unhappy and crying a lot which he doesn’t normally do. His temp has been reaching 38.2 c but when I’m giving him calpol it is going down and he is happy again. He won’t eat any food and will only sometimes take to either milk or water. Not yesterday but the morning before when he woke in the morning one cheek was very very hot and the other was normal. He has always slept at least 11-12 hours through the night since he was 3-4 months old. He will only ever wake if something is wrong. He has been stirring and crying a little all through the night. I don’t know whether to take him to the docs in the morning or if they are just going to say he’s teething?? Can anyone help

it might be down to teething but if your worried I would go and see your gp. even if they say its down to teething you know then x

My LG had this a couple of weeks ago. She had a high temp reaching 38.9. I read on the NHS website of the fevers last five days to call a GP. Hers went by five days but only just then she got a viral rash. She went off her food and water so just gave more milk and let her sleep it off xx

Hi if he has had a temp since Monday monitor his nappy if they are gradually becoming dryer and he’s not eating or drinking u may need to see gp

Has he got any other symptoms

If he is teething maybe use some teething gel/powder before he eats leave home snacks out u know he may pick at without the routine of sitting and eating a meal

Yoghurt maybe a good one as it’s cold from the fridge or carrot/cucumber sticks that have been in the frodge
