HELP!

I’m 9 weeks pregnant & my bowel movements are awful.

I went on Saturday morning (it’s now Monday night) and nothing since.

I’m having fibre & have been eating 3 meals a day since pregnancy.

Does anyone have any good remedies to get me going?

I’m so emotional & this isn’t helping.

Thanks in advance x

Hiya i suffered with constipation alot at the beginning... im 22 wks and still have it although its not as bad.

Try fybogel sachets (flavoured) or Lactulose solution

Prune juice

Dried apricots

Diet high in fibre, wholemeal bread, brown rice etc.

My midwife suggested lactulose to me. You can get it on prescription or from the chemist. Male sure you’re getting plenty of fibre and drinking lots of water too.

Dried prunes Waitrose are the best. And i bought a squatty potty. Basically a little step to get you into a squat position. You could see if that position helps by propping your feet up on a couple of toilet rolls each side

Hi,

I found something that really helps my bowel or soften the stool. It was by coincident because I was craving for honeydew and cantaloupe. I have like 1/4 or sometimes half (guilty) of a melon a day and turns out it help with my bowel and my cravings :D. Hope it helps you too.

Tinned apricots in syrup work wonders!!! And pears are a natural laxative, you don’t even need that many! Hope this helps.

I remember this well, couldn’t go about 10days in total. I took some lactulose and was fine after that. Liquorice is a good 1 x
