Just checking in... Little bump? Little bump? Feeling good? Feeling rubbish? Loving partner? Hating partner? No partner? Or anything else you want to chat about?

I'm due in Feb a bit earlier than may, feeling fed up of being pregnant now wish time would go faster I do not wish however for an early baby as I know this is not healthy. I cannot see my feet, struggle to put socks and shoes on and barely manage three proper meals a day due to sqaushed feeling and feeling full even when I haven't eaten all morning I have to remind myself I may feel full but the baby needs proper meals and healthy ones at that. I have a partner and he is helpful but he keeps telling me to put my belly away I keep lifting my top and stroking little one and I'm transfixed when he/she moves around he finds it irritating for me to be constantly doing it so I suggest why doesn't he try and sometimes he does put his hands on and stroke and has a little smile that simply melts me, but our intimacy levels except for kissing and an occasional hug are non existent don't want to be pushy or selfish but I do miss the intimacy time in the bedroom am I being harsh or selfish by expecting intimacy or is his standoffish behaviour just him trying to be considerate? We were intimate last time about three weeks ago just once but before that it was nearly three months. Is he just trying to protect the baby thinking he might hurt little one or is he just not interested in sex anymore?? Going a little out of my mind as I know pregnancy is about the little one more than me but I'm considering seducing my own partner as he's not making the first moves anymore like he used to.

You should try talking to your partner to find out what’s going through his mind. It sounds like he might be a little overwhelmed. He may not want to do anything to risk hurting you or your baby or he may be finding it hard to come to terms with the fact that your lives are changing and you’ll have another human being to be responsible for. Try not to be hard on yourself or him. There’s nothing wrong with taking the lead yourself - relationships are two-way after all. He may be feeling pressured to take the lead all the time and if things are overwhelming for him that might be why he isn’t doing anything. If you’re not instigating things yourself he may be feeling that it’s you who doesn’t want to do anything and he doesn’t want to push you. Talking is key here so you both know what’s going on. Hope that helps x

Hi there! I am due in May too. My bump is growing fast, I am feeling ok but tired. I have a loving partner and still having sex without problems. I am always feeling hungry and still having some nauseas.

21 weeks, due May 11th. Little bump is forming (I’ve ordered some proper maternity wear finally - I have been living in dresses and skirts which is COLD in winter). Feeling mostly good now - only issues are heartburn now and then, occasional nausea, trouble sleeping as can’t get comfy and extreme tiredness all the time from not sleeping properly.

20 week scan was amazing and my husband is extremely excited for the little nipper to arrive now which is lovely to see and hear. He got to feel baby kicking a few nights ago which was incredible. It’s a huge step for us as we had a miscarriage in March at 11 weeks so to have seen this baby twice now and to see a bump and feel kicks, it’s just magical. We’ve started looking into prams, cots and car seats now which is making things feel real.

I love my husband loads and he’s looking after me but I do have days where I can’t stand him....but I think it’s the lack of sleep driving that! One of my issues at the moment is that my low libido has taken even more of a nosedive since I got pregnant and I worry about my husband being frustrated. I know it’s only going to get worse when the baby is born as I’ll be too tired to do anything! It’s a good job he is understanding but I do feel bad sometimes for not wanting to do anything. Ho hum.

How are things going for you? All excited and making preparations? Xx

I think what you’re feeling is totally normal, don’t feel guilty, sex can wait, so don’t worry!

I’ve got a 10 month old baby too so looking at double buggies!

Happy New Year xx
