Help! Pill!!

I've been off the pill for 4 weeks now, how long will it take until my body is back to normal and me and my partner are trying for a baby - my mum was extremely fertile when she came off the pill and was pregnant 2-3 weeks later

I think everybody is different as I only had 3 periods in the first year after coming off the pill, so pin pointing my fertile days would of been very hard, and I'd only been on pill for about 4 years. It still took 5 years total for me to fall. You may fall straight away though! Xx

I would actually give your body a chance to get back to normal before you start trying so I would wait 3 months before you start timing properly with ovulation. Your body needs to be in tip top condition and your hormones will be all over the place. Start prepping with folic acid and vitamin D xxx

I came off the pill last January and was pregnant by September. My cycles are normally all over the place but everyone's body is different. If you're trying then have a look at your menstrual cycle and fertility window based on that x

I've got notes of when I last bled and if it's every 4 weeks I should have another one soon! Xx

as mentioned previously different people work differently. I came off pill in jan. First time round, waited for my first period in February (was on the mini pill so had no periods) and got pregnant by March. So it's v variable

I was on the combined pill - what's the difference between the mini pill and the combined? And we've not been trying for long to hopefully won't be long now! Xxx

I came off the pill end of December and was pregnant by March so it can happen quickly. I was pretty shocked though as I thought it would take a few more months at least! But everyone's different xx

If you're on the combined pill then it's the pill that's regulating the timing of your periods not your own body, so don't necessarily expect the timing of your next period to follow what's gone before. So please don't be disappointed if your period is 'late' but you test negative as it could well just be your body getting back to its own timing. When I came off the pill I waited till my period was about 2 weeks late as I didn't want to get my hopes up. That being said, I fell pregnant 2 weeks after coming off the pill which was a nice surprise :-)
