Does Polymyositis cause numbness and tingling in the face

My husband was originally diagnosed with Stills disease in March 2019. By August 2019 he was getting worse and then was diagnosed with Polymyositis. During this period, he began to have tingling and numbness in his face, which can be very severe at times. We have had all the tests and nobody knows what is causing it. Would any one have an idea what it could be and how to treat it?

I am sorry your husband is having a bad time. All I can tell you is, I have dermatamyositis , I take steroids and methotrexate. I also have numbness and tingling in my face, mostly on my cheeks and around my mouth. I thought it was the methcausing it , as my face as gone red since starting on the treatment.

I do hope you get some answers. Have youtried the Facebook, site ?
