IVIG for polymyositis, side effects?

Hello? Has anyone suffered scary IVIG side effects? I've been having IVIG for about 18 months and it was going great, with some side effects but nothing too bad. Recently I had really bad chest pain for 3 days after my treatment, starting the afternoon of my last day of treatment, and also my knees became really swollen and sore? I really dont want to stop the treatment but I dont know if I can take the painful chest again? Gamunex 10% 3 days every 6 weeks. Please any advice anyone?

Hi yes had v bad side effects including raised heart rate stomach issues and rapid loss of movement. It depends on the type of IVIG and the dosage and how it's run ie the length of time. If done well it's incredible. If you are sensitive to any of the other factors like speed or dose or formulation it can cause issues. Just my experience - good luck
