Early signs / symptoms but not diagnosed

hi all

Ill be honest I really am at what I think could be the start of polymyositus and wanted to ask peoples opinion..

Started about 4 - 5 weeks ago with mild pain in right forearm when lifting things - drs reckon tendonitis - fair enough

I did have a couple of instances where my legs ached a lot for an hour or so but just ignored it.

Then felt rough Saturday night and had temperature following day and multiple muscles started really hurting loads - thighs / shoulders / around neck

Also got horrible fatigue too and had one night sweat

Its been 6 days so wondered what people thought?

As Myositis is such a rare condition and there are so many other conditions from which you could be suffering, it is essential you go through all the broad based and routine tests ( MRIscans , EMG, muscle scan and biopsy, tests on the tests waiting for weeks fir results….), that they can do to narrow down the exact cause of your problems.

Then to get the right treatment without doing further damage. You have a long path ahead of you which could draw you in many, sometimes contradictory directions.

Proceed with steady, patient steps….
