Hi Guys, my name is Ronald,am 34 was diagnosed with polymyositis 2yrs ago and have been on and off prednisone and methotrexate medication.
With lots of continuous Physcio therapy.

Hi I'm newly diagnosed - I was told dermatoyositis but the notes say polymyositis with likely antisynthetase syndrome (so who knows, but I'm still having lots of tests). It has caused some lung disease. Can I ask what dose of prednisone you are on and are your symptoms controlled with your meds? They tapered me down to 10mg but I think they will end up increasing it or adding something like Athioprine.

Hello Ronald. Nice to see fellow countrymate on here. To second whats been asked above. How do you feel and how was your diagnosis process and how long did that take. 34 is young for poly and I was dxed at 28 afyer a long illness till I couldn't walk or swallow
