About 6 years ago I was having trouble sleeping. My Dr put me on a 50mg tablet of seriquil . I was hesitant at first because my wife is Bipolar 2 and takes 800mg daily. To my surprise this was a small but effective dose and I sleep well at night. I tried trazadone but it was not effective. Hope this helps

i find that magnesium gets me sleeping, so much that the usual things (like my kids coming home at night from being out) don’t even wake me up. I didn’t remember the next morning a few times when the kids said they woke me up the night before when they got home. I stopped taking daily (nightly) magnesium because of this. (My kids don’t drink and they are very good spiritual people so im sure they were telling me the truth and not trying to get away with something)

I am so glad you have found something useful. I take it occasionally to help with sleep also. I found out the VERY hard way that I cannot ever take it every night, because it is so very difficult to get off of. I had two weeks of no sleep when I tried to get off of the medication, and I was weaned properly with the assistance of my doctor. Please be aware of this side effect and perhaps read about it. Long term use seems to make it much worse.
