No knowledge of the Equality Act (2020, UK)

Saw this, and I am furious at how few people know of the Equality Act! This woman has MS, and she also has a certified assistance dog. I do and don't want the need for an assistance dog. If I were to have one, I'll probably still have a bit of a laugh saying "bye stick" if/when I've propped it against a wall for it to then fall πŸ˜… got my best friend now saying bye to whatever thing she's dropped.

But still πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ The Equality Act needs to be taught in schools, or at least during training for jobs.

That is awful, Cwright170994 ! I hope that that Subway shop recognizes their mistake and apologies forthwith! πŸ€—

Same here, and tell the staff member off!

Sadly, that's everywhere. Shop and restaurant workers need better training that cover the federal laws.

I know what you mean, but the UK doesn't have a federal law, just national.

Here in the USA, Federal means National.

Kinda guessed, especially when you hear things being "federal law" πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ at least it's not state law πŸ˜…

That's sad. It sounds like the UK is getting more like the US.

Naming and shaming offenders in the news seems to work fairly well. πŸ˜‰

Definitely 😏 I could name & shame the Dr that prescribed me a drug that has a bad interaction with my epilepsy drug, but if I only knew his name πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‘ would fill the gaps in my husband's pay because he had to take days off work when I had status epilipticus events and he'd be sat next to me when I'd wake up in hospital 😈
