for the fact that the stove waited until the turkey was cooked before it went BANG and quit working! Thankfully, everything except the crescent rolls were also done, but we can live without them.
My mother just informed me that she's buying me a new stove for Christmas!

I don't know if exhaustion has made me giddy, but I just can't stop laughing about it. It truly was a wonderful day, and now, just in time for my 60th birthday, I'm going to get my first-ever new stove!
It's nice to know I'm not alone in that! My life has been filled with secondhand items, and I've always been quite happy with them. Newer is not necessarily better.
We haven't figured that out. It actually just sounded like a couple heavy boxes falling down, which is all too normal in this house. Then we checked the breaker, but it was fine and so was everything else.
you guys, the oven I have is literally from the 70s! ROFL it was here when we bought the house. We ordered a new one at the time because we thought it would go. Then we started using it , and whoa! It works super awesome! 6 years later we still have it. Just so yous can picture it: itโs literally the oven in the wall like on the Brady Bunch. Too bad this house didnโt come with Alice ๐
That is awesome about your new stove! Glad you got the turkey done! Enjoy your new stove!
PS. I think now is the time to buy stuff like that because of the awesome sales
That's how our oven is. Our stove is seperate from the oven (so strange as everywhere I have lived they have been together in the same unit). We recently moved into this house almost 4 years ago.
lol. I got them at the specific request of my (supposedly adult) children. Now they tell me we can't save them until Christmas because they expire in February. Um. I did mean that we'd make them for THIS Christmas.
