I am thankful for my son, Tre’s (Sherman Heiskell Gorman, III actually). I had him when I was 16, 2 & 1/2 months early, on his dads birthday and he only weighed 3 pounds and 13 ounces. He will be 46 in about 2 weeks!

Wow, he's a miracle baby, Morllyn ! Today, babies born that early have a better survival rate because of all the advances in technology. But 46 years ago? Wow! I love the picture. Yes, you have much to be thankful for! 😊💕
WAshingtongirl and Fancy1959 , he stayed in the hospital for almost a month. They let him come home because he was eating well and had no problems. He weighed 4 pounds 10 ounces then. They didn’t have premie clothes or tiny enough diapers back then, I had to cut the cloth diapers in half, or less! He just wore the tiniest shirts that I could find, the shirts were like gowns!😃
Morilyn, you are truly blessed to have such a wonderful son. To be born that premature over 45 years ago it's amazing that he survived. He sure was a tough baby and a true fighter! Both of you must have had Angels sitting on your shoulder.😇

CalfeeChick , Theo is my sons girlfriends son but they have been together for 8 years, so Theo calls us grandma and grandpa. He is a sweety.
Well Morllyn i would have thought that were father and son, they have the same smile. How do you get Tre's from Sherman etc, is it a nick name! He certainly looks a healthy handsome dude, blessings Jimeka 🦋 🌈
jimeka , my husband used to play cards a lot with his family, and a 3 in cards is sometimes called a Tres, (the s is silent). He started calling our son, who is the third Sherman, Tres. I believe that is 3 in Spanish. I incorrectly spelled it with an accent over the e, Tre’s, all those years ago and that is what we have always called him.
Our grandsons father is Colombian, that is where he gets his dark skin. And yes they both have nice smiles, thank you!😊
