I've been trying not to stress about Friday's surgery while also getting my house in order, just in case there are complications. Then I got an unexpected phone call from an out-of-state cousin whom I haven't seen in 14 months. He'd heard about the operation and just lifted up my spirits! After that, my dog and I sat on the back porch enjoying the slow, steady rain that was coming down. Everything was just so peaceful.
I realize that sounds a bit callous given what they're dealing with Down South, but we've been having a severe drought here, which I don't recall at any other time in my life. Emotional support and much-needed rain all in one day? It doesn't get any better than this!

sounds like you have settle down and will be just fine for your surgery ...loads of love and happiness and the prayers and blessings that you feel that you need but you are going to be just fine filled with the love you recieved today and for years to come ...many do love you and want the best for you ...take care and relax ...
I am so glad you got what you needed… An unexpected phone call and sitting listening to the peaceful rain. It’s funny I am doing the exact same thing. I need to go jump in the shower and leave the house to meet my daughter for a difficult test she is having this morning… Wishing a swift and speedy recovery for your surgery
I wish you abundant peace, strength, and optimism as you faith your upcoming surgery. Wasn't that great about your cousin's call? I'm glad you have the wisdom and equanimity to soak in those good feelings and rely on them to contribute to your peaceful day. I'll be thinking of you, wishing you the very best.
Take one day at a time and don't worry until you know you have something to worry about. Get through any prep. Then when they're getting you ready in the hospital. Deal with the pain/aches after. One step at a time. Don't be afraid to advocate for yourself!! My surgeon told me I would probably go home around 2:00 that same day! I said, "Uh, no..." I stuck with it, too. Don't be afraid to speak up and don't expect anyone else to! (My husband wouldn't even ask someone for a menu for me...)
