More prayers, please

Since we seem to be on a roll here --

My neighbor stopped by today for a chat in between raindrops. He hobbles around because they're removing parts of his feet at random intervals due to diabetes. He's holding his own and is amazingly upbeat about it. However, his wife had a double mastectomy some months back and is not doing well at all. She's a young woman, somewhere in her 40's or early 50's, and still working whenever she can. She's also having so many complications with the meds she's on that he's been sitting up nights with her expecting her to stop breathing.

These are the best neighbors I've ever had.

Prayers go out to your neighbors. Him for the safe management and recovery of his diabetes and her for the management and safe recovery of her cancer. Included in my prayers. May we be blessed with the strength to persevere. 🙏🏾

As I wince from the twinges in my side where I am recovering from my surgery, this reminds me that twinges are nothing. So many other people are so much worse off than I. Thank you for reminding me. Praying for your neighbors, for their health, and for yours.

Such a sad state of affairs for that couple. They would possibly benefit from some community assistance, if they would accept it. I know it’s not easy to ask for help or to accept it, but everyone has need of assistance sometimes. I am sending warm wishes for them.
