Thankful that I feel good today! I appreciate everyone's comments on my last post. One thing that I didn't do in the beginning of my diagnosis was to quit playing music. Drums has allowed me to keep fighting MS. It's tough because of the overheating, but working on different limb control & coordination exercises has helped me tremendously by making my brain create new pathways. I'm blessed and thankful! Be encouraged everyone. #beatms

hi. Welcome! That is so awesome! My MS took away my ability to play drums then guitar. I’m still holding onto the keys! I’m fighting to keep at it. I don’t play as smoothly as I once did but I’m still at it! :). You keep going strong too! 💪
Not as skilled as the rest of you, but I was having a lot of trouble with my love of stamp collecting. I finally broke down and started using lighted magnifiers, bright lights over my work area, and several different sizes of tweezers. I'm slow at it but still having fun!
glad you continue to play the drums! I know it’s not the same thing, but I’ve continued to play the flute during the last several decades. It’s not always easy to catch my breath and follow along with the music, but I do my best and I enjoy playing. I used to play with a concert band that would play outside summer concerts, but the heat really got to me. A cooling vest kept me from being able to take a deep enough breath. Fortunately, I found a group that plays inside. I think the point is to find some thing that you enjoy doing and do the best that you can add it. The best at it doesn’t need to be perfect.
Hello! It is awesome that you play the drums! I crochet, used to sew, but have put that off for now because it takes more energy, but am trying to crochet more. Work on my hand's dexterity. And making new things! My husband plays guitar and bass, also plays all kinds of brass instruments. Music is good therapy! 🧡
