We have always had good friends and neighbors but in 2014 I was hospitalized for almost 3 weeks and not expected to live. During that time so many friends and neighbors cared for my husband by bringing food and taking care of the yard. My family was there for him also but they did not have to worry about those things and that helped immensely! Of course all the good thoughts and prayers of everyone helped also.

Another thing I am thankful for today...my sister. We are 16 months apart. We were never really close as children, but all that changed when she was diagnosed with cancer at 50, and admitted she needed others. My sister is cancer free now (another thing to be thankful for!) and we chat every Saturday morning. I love her so much! 💕
Today I am very, very thankful that God sent me a painter and decorator who knows how to work. The room he is having to decorate is 16' by 16', with 13' high ceiling. The wall paper has been on that ceiling 70 years, obviously before I was born. In 45 minutes he had the whole ceiling stripped and the old horse hair plaster revealed. The radiator had leaked in the bedroom upstairs and poured through the ceiling, hence having to re do the ceiling. By Thursday he is hoping to have finished the whole room and then start on my kitchen. He is already booked up until next June, so I have pre booked him to come back and do my guest room next June. Hopefully by then my daughters house will be ready to move back in and I will have a spare bedroom. Again I am so thank ful for this man and his gift to decorate. Blessings Jimeka 🦋 🌈
