The world of MS can make the most simplest things in life so “dog done” difficult it’s frustrating! A small treat like a manicure/pedicure can turn out to be disastrous!!!! First, I have to inform the person working on me not to punch on my legs; just because you’re advertising as a SPA technicians are not credentialed Physical Therapist’s! Then some day our fingers are stiff. Guess I should open my own 😊.

I still do my nails but on my one hand is file only as I can’t use clippers. I go in every 6 weeks to foot specialist and Medicare pays to have toenails trimmed 👍🏼 If I do fingernail and toenails it’s about an hour for me to do and painful to my back. Hopefully it works out for you 🙏 Take care 👍🏼😉🥰
Just to let you know... a manicurest shouldn't be punching on any part of your body. I am a cosmetology instructor & they should only be rubbing your calves, ankles, feet & toes. They should be pushing up toward the knee when massaging. If they are doing otherwise then ask them to stop because they can & will damage your muscles.
Exactly, I my son went to Penn State and majored in Kinesiology and worked at a rehabilitation center; I used to read some of his books! Totally wrong !
I used to have a wonderful gentleman who would do my pedicure on a regular basis.. he was one of the few people who didn’t make me feel weird because of the jumping of my feet and legs.. So sad when he finally left the field. I would always tip him very well for being so kind and sweet. Now more recently, I have started seeing a podiatrist. He is covered by my insurance as well, but he doesn’t put pretty colors on my toenails lol.
It's been years since I have had a pedicure. The last time I went I couldn't feel that the water was too hot. When the person who came to do the pedicure took my feet out they were bright red. I remember them looking at the person next to them doing someone else's pedicure when they saw my feet.Add in the hyper reflexes causing constant jerking and it is no longer an enjoyable experience.
Since I can't where sandals anymore, I don't worry about having painted toenails 😁
