Air Fresheners

I am continuing listening to the Liver Rescue book and will keep you updated on the interesting information I discover. Maybe it's not new for you, but it was for me when I heard it.So the latest. The author keeps saying air fresheners are toxic. I don't use any but know a lot of people who do.

Not so much air fresheners in themselves, but my daughter discovered that she can't have scented candles around. She's not allergic to colognes or lotions, so it was purely by accident that she discovered that smelly/burny things in the house were making her sick constantly.

The book also later mentioned the toxicity of scented candles. Who knew?

I was told years ago by a doctor that air freshener sprays, plug ins, candles, car fresheners, basically all of those things are very dangerous for humans. I have stayed far away from them ever since that conversation. Personally, I think they smell nasty and overwhelming. Glad you posted about this topic.

I don't like most air freshners. Their scent is overwhelming for me. Candles I will light every once in awhile. Mostly just for the soft light.

Air fresheners, candles (especially scented ones), and oil diffusers are all very detrimental to the lungs and to the environment.

Everything is toxic. The list is way too long 🤣

I find the best air freshener there is is opening the windows... 🙂 I usually end up getting migraines from all those fu-fu smells. Drives my wife crazy because she wants to wear perfum but they all give me migraines as well.

We don’t use air fresheners but I am interested in seeing any info. Also, I want to say thank you for all the posts you have made over the years. When I see them I know I am going to learn something interesting 😎

This is very kind of you, thank you. I post because I think if I find some information useful, there will be at least one person who will too.

There will be definitely more to come from this book "Liver Rescue" - which I highly recommend to everyone on this blog (and it did elaborate on air fresheners and scented candles).

I am not surprised about air fresheners and essential oil diffusers. I've read about them being harmful to pets.

As for scented candles, I've used the melted wax in my ceramic work and had to stop as the smell makes me sick.
