Central air!

We finally bit the bullet and got central air installed yesterday! We’ve been using three window air units for ten years. They’ve done an ok job but about every two years we have to replace one and they keep getting more expensive.

My heat intolerance keeps getting worse, and we’ve been talking about it since we bought the house ten years ago. Now it’s done!

A bit pricey and we had to replace the furnace as well, but so worth it!

We put a fence around it to keep our dog from using it as a fire hydrant. Apparently that is really corrosive to the unit.

Your worth the expense. Enjoy it, there’s nothing worse than being too hot. 🤗

I have found this to be the case. But dont wake energized and mistakenly go outside wen its hot. Thats a mistake i make a LOT.

That would do the trick. Enjoy it.

We built a fence for our dog and strung an electric wire around it so he wouldn’t try to dig out.

He went in the nice huge fenced yard with a great big dog house and peed on the electric wire.

Never went near it again.

I am so glad for you. It makes the heat much more bearable.

So happy for you. I’m hoping you will see an immediate improvement,,.i know I couldn’t deal without AC. The days I have to take my granddaughter to dance or tumbling practice in un-air-conditioned building, I am zapped for the next two days.

No air would kill me! You’re kind to help out your granddaughter.

Don’t know about kind - just doing what needs to be done. But I DO have a battery operated fan that I wear around my neck blowing on my face, so it helps. 🤣 Not sure if the stares I get from the other moms there are because they are jealous because they don’t have a fan or if they are thinking what is that crazy old woman doing now? 🤣🤪🤪

Wonderful! You will be feeling better, I am sure.

Wonderful! You will probably find that it isn't quite as expensive as the window units and a lot more efficient.

I am super curious to find out. The three haven’t been bad at all. Basically it has cost the same to run them all summer as it does to run the furnace in the winter.

The furnace will probably be cheaper too since the new ones are more efficient too. I know it made a difference when we had to get a whole new unit a few years back.

Just in time for summer! I love ours. We got a (2nd hand) camper last year and I made sure it had air! When I was young I would poo poo at people with air. Now I have joined their ranks! (Refuse a tv though...)
