I almost did this at church today...on carpet, no steps.π

Were you physically hurt? I know the last time something like the image happened to me I was out having drinks after buying my wedding dress. We went to a bar, the toilets were downstairs and the lift was out of order. The stairs are metal, someone had spilled a drink on them, and my stick slipped causing me to fall downstairs! Thankfully, I'd automatically rolled onto my back and I was laughing as I went down with the absurdity of it. No physical harm done, just a bruised ego because all the people that were with me getting my dress/having drinks were terrified for me. My MOH knew I'd be fine because I was simply laughing as I went down, but my mum and MIL were really scared π MIL called my now-husband to pick me and my MOH up (she lives not far from me). He didn't realise until that night that, if he had my blue badge out, he can park on double yellow lines without getting ticketed! He was worried, but he always worries when it comes to me π
That's not me but I've ended up in the emergency room a few times. The last time I fell I broke my wrist because it wrapped around the handle of a wheelbarrow.
Oo eck!!! π±π¨ I hope its properly mended π€
Last time I actually fell of my own accord was because I was having grand mal seizures! Thank god they were in the mornings when my husband was at home, but I certainly got bruised once or twice. I can only laugh because my husband was always beside me when I woke up, and he'd tell me of how many I'd had, which room I was in, how he battled getting me into a safe position, and how I'd woken him up! π not as scared now though: the reason I was having them was because a med that I got prescribed in hospital, back in 2021 after my 1st lot of 3+ seizures, negatively interacts with my lamotrigine. Thank god my new neurologist got me taken off that med.
I got to wear a cast for 6 weeks & a splint for 3 more...during the summer! The wheelbarrow tipped over & if I'd just let go of the handles I would have been ok with just a bruised ego. But not me I went down for the count!
The 1 foot, statue balance trick! Where l lose my balance, but if l dont move for a sec l can get it backπ€·ββοΈ by finding better footing! ππ€£π€ππ
I'm glad it was only "almost" but even those can wrench muscles. I hope you're okay!
I hope you weren't hurt.
Did you give them a show?
My favorite stunts usually involve wiping out on the ice. All that flapping around before one hits the ground is a spectacular sight.
Then, you can skip aerobics class that night because you've just had a good workout!
Other times, one hovers in the air for a second before auguring in. Like the majestic eagle does before descending on it's prey...
I just wish I'd land on a sandwich when I do that.π
No I wasn't hurt, I was just practicing...π€£ standing upright. π€£
i thought this was a requirement to say we had MS ...hahahhaha...so glad all okay except for the imbarrasment ...i laugh also when i fall or do something that i didn't tend to do ..ahhahahahhahahah ....have a wonderful day resting love and happiness ...
My falls were usually a result of tripping on roots while walking on a trail. (Okay, sometimes tripping on nothing.) I just go straight down like a sack of potatoes. If anyone sees they are usually really freaked out. I have fractured wrists and fingers this way. I have changed my ways, am much more careful, and haven't fallen in over a year. π
I hope you're all right!
My favorite stunt is nearly falling. I must be a picture when I gyrate to prevent falling!
