Apple watch 7: what's your favorite feature?

Hi everybody, I just got the new toy. My reason was the fall notification. After I fell a few weeks ago I considered getting one of those "necklaces" with the old lady who says 'Help, I can't get up' I could not imagine wearing this. So i splurged. There are so many health features as well as fun ones, which features do you like? also i think it has one for balance but not sure where that one is. Anybody know?

Asking… Is it worth the money? I’ve been thinking about getting one myself.

My sister wants me to get one. She swears by hers. Let us know what you think. 🤗

Sorry to hear about your fall 😔 but curious to know what other features you like? I’ve never thought or looked at this device. Is it hard to set up/sync with computer etc?

I like the activity app. It monitors for calories and time in terms of moves, exercise and standing. time. it comes set for 250 calories for movements, 15 mins of exercise and 12 minutes of standing. You can adjust any of these up or down.

this is amazing... those medical alert necklaces have a monthly charge and you have to press it when you need help... from reading this, the watch is free after purchase and it detects a fall and notifies emergency services and your designated contact... wow!

hi Kathy, That's why i got mine. and Right. there is no charge after you pay for it and those medical alert necklaces are uglyeee. "I've fallen and i can't get up" lady don't want to be her!

I’ve fallen while wearing mine and it does detect a fall and asks if you need help. If you don’t respond it will send emergency help on its own. I love mine and it’s features. Definitely worth the price.

Hi Karen, Good to hear. what other features do you use?

It sounds like you have to have the Apple phone to go with it.

Good question. I don't know the answer because I already had one.

I have the old lady one but only wear mine when I climb a ladder to do my plants or something dangerous or feeling real bad. . The good feature is that they give you a door lock with a key holder. If the police or firemen come to your door and it is locked, they can get the code & then your key and open the door instead of ruining a door (which I think would cost me $2500 to replace).

thanks I didn't know that!

I purchased one too—and I had a fall about a month and a half later. I was able to call my partner, who was at work, even though my phone was two rooms over.

I have other auto-immune issues and POTS too, so having the heart rate monitor, EKG and blood oxygen features are also wonderful.

ooh. hope you landed safely. I also like not having to carry my phone everywhere in the house. I am not a millennial.
