What is your favorite saying?

You already know I like to say "DEGU - Never Give Up!", but I just read another that I liked a bunch - "We would not have rainbows without the rain." My Mom, who is 93 years old, tells us, "If that is the worst thing that ever happens to you, you'll be in good shape."

Oh, jackiesj, That brought back memories of one of my favorite friends. He would say that several times during a conversation! The saying was even used at his memorial service!

@SueAB my favorite poem (of course, I forgot it all with my shrinking MS brain, is "In acceptance, lieth peace." Helps me relax and give the wheel to God!

SueAB my mum always used to say, 'treat others how you wish to be treated' and my dad's reply was ' practice what you preach'

One of my favorite sayings is "Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light" That was from Albes Dumbledor

Phil 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." I can't tell you how many days that scripture has gotten me out of bed and on my feet. I say the words out loud WHENEVER I need the strength, mentally OR physically. He's an AWESOME GOD. ❤Great question/post! 😊

How many do we get?😀 SueAB I have a bunch for different situation and moods😀😌😄

I think the one the helps me the most is something my dad told me once. He goes God never gives you more than you can handle, but it's YOUR job to help Him!💕

Something I say around the house?😀 Suck it up buttercup!😄 and I growl at myself alot! 😀😌

If you can make someone smile today!😊 Then it's a great day!💕

My mother always would say this if I ever complained. "I felt sorry for myself because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet"

Throughout my short 61 years, I have often heard, "If you want to learn how to plumb, talk to a plumber". The thought is applicable to almost any subject or activity in our lives.

I was always told that “if you make your bed hard you have to lay in it”. And that’s so true.

Oh, Donnie! I haven't heard that in so long! My husband and I were quite young when he asked my Dad if we could get married. My Mom was crying and said "If your make your bed, you will have to lay in it!" And guess what? We have been married 52 years!

SueAB . I’m pretty sure my wife mother told us that and it was 47 years ago.

My favorite saying is Blessed are those who ask for nothing for they shall not be disappointed.

My grandfather, bless his soul, liked this one. It's better to have it and not need it than it is to need it and not have it.

That one caused me to buy life insurance.

SueAB,it's Fancy1959. You probably posted this right before I got active again after my shoulder surgery. Long story short is that I missed it somehow. I just found it and I have to share with everyone my favorite saying of all time. I saw it on a bumper sticker of a vehicle in front of me and I laughed until I cried. 😂

It read, " Of all the things I ever lost, I miss my mind the most!" LOL!

I am not sure if it's an age factor, an MS factor, or perhaps a combination of the two, but it sure hit home for me!🤣💕👍👏😁
