The last week i thought this was a "oh it too shall pass" ..but hanging on.Then Addey Mae started being my nurse and tried to give me a grooming...everytime i lifted my arm she took her paws and put me down.Buster started shreading tissues for entertainment(and he sings...so i started looking for things to do i could grab around without adding to issues.I remembered i use to write, draw, coloring, and when i could reach my toes...got them. Alexa teaching me (slowly....) new languages without cost. I also noticed i stuck things under my bed which was a good suprise(chocolate!) i have a pad camping matt on floor with pillows and heating blanket or ice.I am wondering your amazing feats while in the mix. Ideas anyone? Happy Sunday to all.jj

Chocolate within reach is a must! My hobbies are limited to the good days only, but if I can sit at my desktop I've started watching history videos on YouTube. You can find almost any time period that interests you, and a lot of them are focused on foods and cooking methods, which has always appealed to me.

When I'm going through a bad spell, I just want to hibernate, so that's where there's a real advantage to living alone. I have assorted baskets on, under, and beside the nightstand holding everything from drink bottles and Reese's to Icy-Hot and Vick's. There's always a large stack of both favorite and unread books, salty snack food, the TV remotes and my cell phone. If I could find a portapotty that would fold up into a 4" block, I'd add it to the mix! The room looks like h*ll most of the time, but when it's one of "those" days I don't want to search the whole house for the things that bring me comfort.

Mostly I grab a book, put reruns on the TV, and then sleep as much as possible.

Sounds very familiar. Comforting knowing I’m not a weirdo, or at least I’m not alone in my weirdness. 😉🫧

Sewing and quilting (even sewing or quilting by hand, slowly) are my therapeutic hobbies. I adore reading when my brain will cooperate. Every day is different with MS, so I adjust as needed. My husband and I are fond of going to farm stands during the summer and fall and then to Christmas bazaars during the fall and early winter. If need be, he pushes me in my wheelchair. I find that even when I can't do much, it helps me emotionally to do at least what I can, and to get out of the house. My husband and I feel more connected when doing little things together. We don't always spend money when we go somewhere.

It is nice that he will push you...good man..

He has such a great time watching reactions when he says he likes to push me around, and I say that I tell him where to go. It's our inside joke!

I do artwork whenever I can but if I'm not doing well, I read about it and plan projects from there.

It's good to have something to look forward to.😀

Quilting is something that I enjoy doing. Chocolate should always be closer than spiders! I love craft fairs and this is the time of year, there are plenty. Reading is a great way to pass the time, and Hallmark Christmas movies! I also make angels out of beads. My manual dexterity is not as it once was, but I do this because it helps to keep the fingers limber! Keep Smiling, my friend! :-D

How did your chocolate end up under your bed? I hid mine in a drawer so I can sneak a piece every now and then.

Can I send you directions to my house? I'm increasingly tempted to become one of those people who spins and knits dog hair.
