Since that is the side that the Chinese recently landed on, perhaps it is their lunar lander or whatever is left of it. Or perhaps the impact of landing poked a hole in the crust and some cheese leaked out like overripe brie?

As far as I know, no goats there, but perhaps rabbit berries. Chinese mythology tells us a large rabbit lives on the moon.
