Beautiful lake and mountain

This nature area is very close to my apartment. I saw lots of nests, but not the ambitious birds who built them. I was there for a long time and went off trail to sit quietly in the trees. But still no birds. As you can see, there is still snow on the peaks. My friend who hikes up high says there is about 10 feet up there. He uses snow shoes. When I hike, I stay lower in the winter. I forgot to use sunscreen today and I got a bit burned. But it was a beautiful day to walk, then sit by the lake.

That looks lovely! I was lucky enough to be able to sit on the back porch late this afternoon, but it was still too cool in the shade.

There is a little hill from the parking lot to the trailhead, but you can just sit on your walker and ride it backwards! It will be exciting 😂 whee, away you go! I’m all about adventure. There is a river that flows through the park that runs very briskly. People float it in hot weather. We better wait until July to do all of this, the water is ice cold right now! Straight from the mountain runoff.

It is wonderful to finally be able to be outside without being rained or snowed on! Five weeks to go until retirement and I can be outside as much as I want!!

wow i bet you had a great walk...yes it is warming up some we are to get up to 60 today will be wonderful ...yesterday i also got little red when out doing the garden clean up ...flowers are poking out of the ground ...tulips and daffodils can't wait to see them all ...have lots in the big garden ...
