I wish I could have taken you all with us. The cool temperatures were so refreshing, the quaint B & B was charming, and I’ve never seen hydrangeas so blue.

Beautiful day at the coast

Thank you. It was just a one night trip, but even that little bit was enough to do our hearts good!

Those blue hydrangeas look awesome. Here on the Cape, the hydrangeas are so beautiful as well. It is always refreshing to take time off every once and a while, and it does a body good.
My kind of flower. I have tried everything to get blue ones but no joy. They are beautiful. Pleased that you got away, you deserve a break, hugs 🤗
Most I've seen around here are a beautiful, but somewhat pale blue. Maybe the coastal soil is more acidic.

I have seen pink ones on the Cape that were so pink that they were fuchsia. I love hydrangeas and I have planted a blue one in my back yard but this year, the deer have 'topped' it. So sad, but at least they left me some green and mostly twigs.
I bought a lace cap hydrangea at the Elizabethan Gardens.
It took a few years but I finally killed it this past spring.
Ha! My experience as well!
It never made it outside!
It was about 15" tall when I bought it.
On the way home it got shortened to around 8", then finally, before it's demise, about 2".
It's life was short too.
My experience is that I plant (more like my husband) so that the wildlife can have a feast. Hosta, day lilies, daisies, sunflowers, hydrangeas are/were all on the menu. I might resort to planting plastic flowers, but my husband won't allow it.
I have seen this type of landscaping before but not on a grand scale.
The most unusual was the house that had a cement front yard that was painted green.
I should have painted a few dandelions on it
Ahhh...ocean breeze and beautiful flowers and temperature!! I know you feel rejuvenated.
So beautiful!! What gorgeous flowers
I love hydrangeas! The house I grew up in had a big pink plant in the yard. Im glad you had a great time, it’s always cool on the coast! 😀😎😄❤️
Glad you and your husband had a good time. The area looks beautiful.
I do miss the beach when the heat is at boiling range. The cool ocean breeze with the smell of the sea is refreshing. Glad you got to go.

Beautiful!!!!! 🤗🦈
I haven't seen the ocean or smelled the wonderful salt air in years. I sure miss it! Where was it that you went?
