Paxlovid and MS

My husband was diagnosed with Covid on Sunday night and is taking Paxlovid. I’m wondering if there are people in the group who have taken Paxlovid for Covid and if so, were there any problems with their ms?

Thanks!

I had covid twice. I was given IV Bamlanivimab the first time. The second time I asked about Paxlovid but I was given Molnupiravir instead because I take Tramadol.

I don't feel either med affected my ms but it took several weeks to get back to my normal.

Sorry your husband has covid. I hope he makes a quick recovery and that you stay healthy too.

I also had Covid twice and got the IV monoclonal antibodies the first time and Paxlovid the second time. I also had no troubles from either treatment but did take a while to recover from Covid.I hope you don't get Covid.

Paxlovid was prescribed when I had Covid. I took only one pill and had an allergic reaction. My mouth and lips went numb. Felt like I had a shot of novocaine from the dentist. Fortunately my Covid infection was pretty mild and I recovered without any other medication or issues. Hope your husband recovers without any issues or side effects.

I took Paxlovid for four days. But the .... how to say this delicately..... the intestinal side effect was so bad, that I left off the 5th daily dose. It did help otherwise. But the, ...ok, backdoor trots was awful. I had had two COVID shots and three boosters. I hope he feels better soon!!

Donna give your husband's neurologist a call and ask him that question. You Need to speak to an expert so you get the correct answer because Your husband might be on additional medications that might not mix well With the covid medication. Fancy59.

Thanks for the reply. My husband doesn’t have MS. I was asking the question because I do, but I’m not on any medication.
