I get mine on fridays for that reason. I need 2-3 days at minimum
was this the faster infusion for i had that the last time and yes i was tired and went home and sleep ....but it was faster ,so if that is what we have is an extra nap ....take care and rest up ....loves...
Yes i had my ocrevus infusion on Thursday almost a week ago. Days 1 and 2 i feel fine even with a little energy but day 3 and 4 am tired but day 5 i am toast. Cant hardly keep my eyes open. Day 6, I am back to normal. I usually take 5 days off to recover. Its definitely a thing. This is my 7th full infusion and every time day 5 is a killer.
It depends on if it messes up my sleep for the night. Between the steroids and napping after taking the Benadryl premed I sometimes don't sleep well that night or even the next night.Like NanaCC I get mine on Fridays to limit time off work.
Yes,Yes I do. The day of the infusion the benedril gets me. I don't know why I'm so tired the next few days, but I am. I thinking the body has to process the foreign substance or it's just stress relief ,either way , I'm fatigued.
So for, I haven't had any problems with Ocrevus. I usually fall asleep after the steroids and Benadryl are done. After that I will either go home or eat lunch. Not tired at all.
Thank you for sharing, I am getting my first Ocrevus infusion soon and I have been planning on getting it on a Thursday and taking Thursday & Friday off from work with hopes to go back to work the following Monday. Fingers crossed. Everything else that I have heard is very positive, I think that I can deal with the fatigue as long as it goes away within 3 - 5 days. I had severe fatigue for 2 weeks after my week of steroid infusions and was so afraid that it was permanent but then the cloud slowly lifted after 2 weeks and by week 3 I felt like a normal human being (albeit with MS) again. I am hoping that you are doing well!!
Everyone can react different to any med. So you might not have this issueπ Which would be great for you! π Steriods... yup, most all of us had/have/will have again the dreaded steriodsπ π€£ Cause it can hopefully stop a relaspe from getting worse or a new one leision from causing more trouble. Im so glad your feeling better! π€ππ
I feel great a day or two after and then the steroids wear off and you crash. Happens to me every time.
YES The day of and the day after my infusion I am beat! Then it starts to get better. I just plan that that is the way it will be.
Iβm on Rituximab (which is similar) and it takes me a week to recover! I usually have to take a week off work. Iβm extremely sensitive to medications and Iβm so fatigued after an infusion π₯΄
Hi Jes, reading this reminded me to take my Mavenclad so thanks! I hope you feel better soon and can plan ahead.
When I was on Ocrevus I had the same problem... 2nd or 3rd day I was tired. I was guessing it was from the steroids wearing off. I used to get those steroid infusions & when they started to wear off I went to bed for at least 2 days.
I dont take the steriods with the infusion, steriods and l dont get along at allπ€£π so l refuse them! π€ππ
I did that with the last infusion I had. That infusion seemed like it didn't have any drugs in it cuz I had more exaserbations that I had had for the past 2 years. I was already a month late getting the infusion becuase the infusion center didn't have the appointment they made when I was there the last time & the last one stopped after 4 months. After that I said no thank you I don't like the "crap gap" & my insurance wouldn't let me go any sooner than the regular 6 mos. I was very sad that Ocrevus didn't work for me. But now I'm on vumerity with no flare ups at all over a year, no pain or muscle spasms. Other than memory issues it feels like the MS is gone. Wouldn't that be nice?
I personally do not,but i think it may be a "hang-over" from the benedryl and the stress leading up to it and then you can relax when it is over maybe??π
