New Doctor ( Neurologist )

After 13 years with the same Neurologist, she retired last week. I can see her partner or one of the PA's or NP's in the office, but I chose a referral to a Doctor in another office in a town about 45 minutes away from me, as she is a MS specialist. I will see how it goes and I will let you know. I hate breaking in a new Doctor. Just when I get them trained, they leave and I have to start all over! My current/past Doctor is still relatively young, so her retirement was a surprise, but she is retiring to take care of her Mom, which I can understand.

Have a great Day!

Linda

Hi Linda, I am sorry to hear that but it could turn out to be a blessing in disguise, I hope so. In the meantime how is the rest of your body? Are all the breaks mending well? Blessings Jimeka 🤗

Good luck! I cried when my neuro left a few months ago to take care of his ailing wife. They've assigned a PA to me, but I haven't met her yet because I was sick the day of my last checkup.

Good luck with the new Dr.. I hate breaking in new ones.. I saw something in another area that I visit.. they had a book.. and the caption read.. "When they ask about my medical history I give them this....." and the title of the book is "The Never-ending Story" And I believe all of us can relate to that totally!!!!

Good luck with that! I see my neuro's NP. He's in the office so I know if she sees something, he's there. He has the demeanor of a potato so I'm glad to see the NP.

It seems that I have had a new Neuro about every 2 years since moving to MI 10 years ago. The first one moved, the 2nd one I didn't care for so I switched, and the others have been leaving like clock work. The one I wanted to see does not see MS patients :( My appointment in Dec is with a new one. Good luck at your appt. Keep us updated when you can.

I 'm looking forward to meeting her. Her office contacted me and set up an appointment so we can " get to know each other". I will be meeting with her for an hour on Nov. 14 th, and they even sent me a Welcome letter and directions to her office. I will let you all know how it goes. Thanks so much for the encouragement!🤗 Linda
