Neurologist just called!

They just called and have an appointment on March 10th. It is about 175 miles away. I will figure out a way to get there.

Doctor has scheduled another mri for the 21st also of my spine.

175 miles? Wow, that's a ways away. I guess living near the city has it's privileges? I had 2, on opposite ends of the world here, but that was only about 45 minutes apart. There are at least a half dozen specializing in M.S. in the area beyond mine. So that's what living in the country is like? I know!, take my jet! Andre will fly you. Yeah, I wish. Good luck.

it would be nice if you could travel there the day before and spend the night,go to dinner and relax before the appt,I know that is not possible for everyone,but we can dream!

Hi there, Most hospital websites list hotels nearby that offer discounted rates for patients. You do not have to share any personal information, just call the hotel directly (sometimes there is a link on the hospital website) and book as you normally would. I am a caretaker and travel with my daughter out of state to see her doctor, and it is so much less stressful to arrive the night before or stay over after her appointments. All the best to you!

Thank you. Yes, I am looking into that now. I also have found a state medicaid program that might help with reimbursement for mileage, lodging and meals. They just aren't open yet...Lol. I will update when I know more.

many hospitals have rooms for rent like hotel rooms,i guess for extended stay families.I have stayed in them for my hubby,he has had surgery far away

let them know you need a way to get there ...they may pay for the whole ride to the appt....good luck ...it is the pits but it will be well worth it ...also ask the girls in the office of the doctors office they may be able to give you some information for getting to the apt...love and much happiness...
